A diagnosis should feel like understanding, not a verdict
You might have spent years sensing that something doesn't quite fit, without ever having the language for it. An assessment can be a turning point — a chance to finally make sense of your patterns, your history, and how your mind actually works. It can change the way you see yourself: a chance to let go of the unhelpful, limiting beliefs you may have carried for years — that you're lazy, or not trying hard enough — and instead understand your genuine strengths and how to make the most of them. We take an unhurried, trauma-informed approach throughout, because this is about genuine understanding, not ticking boxes.
Choose the pathway that fits you
TWO PATHWAYS
Not sure which assessment is for you? It comes down to one question: do you need documentation? If you mainly want answers for yourself, the Clarity Assessment is for you. If you need something in writing — for your GP, workplace, or university — choose the ADHD Diagnostic Assessment.
Clarity Assessment
$950
Sometimes you don't need a formal report — you just need to know. The Clarity Assessment is for adults who want diagnostic clarity and a genuine understanding of their experience, without committing to the full documentation process. It gives you space to explore your history, your patterns, and what they might mean — guided by a psychologist, not a checklist.
What's included
A comprehensive, trauma-informed clinical and diagnostic interview — exploring your developmental, medical, family and personal history, and how things show up for you day to day
A range of standardised, validated psychometric measures (self-report; observer-report available if you'd like it)
A 1–2 page summary letter outlining the diagnostic outcome and general recommendations
Good to know: This summary letter is written for your own understanding and isn't suitable for NDIS, workplace, or education accommodation applications. Typically provided within 2 weeks. Available in person or via telehealth.
ADHD Diagnostic Assessment
$1,750
If you need formal documentation — for your GP, your workplace, your university, or simply for your own records — this is our comprehensive pathway. It includes everything in the Clarity Assessment, plus a full written report and an executive functioning profile with tailored recommendations you can act on. Same trauma-informed, unhurried approach throughout.

A comprehensive, trauma-informed clinical and diagnostic interview — exploring your developmental, medical, family and personal history, and how things show up for you day to day
A range of standardised, validated psychometric measures, self- and observer-report
A full diagnostic report suitable for your GP, workplace, or educational accommodation requests
An executive functioning profile with tailored, practical recommendations
Good to know: This report is not suitable for NDIS applications. Typically provided within 4 weeks. Available in person or via telehealth.
Please note: ADHD assessments are not eligible for Medicare rebates. Both pathways are delivered by a registered psychologist and can be completed in person at our North Parramatta clinic or online via telehealth — whichever is more convenient for you.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Your questions, answered
Do I need a referral for an ADHD assessment?
No referral is needed to book an assessment. You're welcome to arrange one directly. (Note that assessments aren't Medicare-rebatable, so a GP referral doesn't change the fee.)
Can the assessment be done online?
Yes. Both pathways are available in person at our North Parramatta clinic or via telehealth across Australia — whichever suits you.
Why is it "trauma-informed"?
ADHD can overlap with, and sometimes be mistaken for, the effects of trauma, anxiety, and other experiences. A trauma-informed approach means we take your whole history into account, so the outcome reflects a genuine understanding of you — not a checklist answer.
Can this assessment be used for NDIS?
No — neither pathway is suitable for NDIS applications. If NDIS documentation is your goal, we'd recommend discussing the specific requirements with your GP or the NDIS first.
What happens after my assessment?
You'll receive your summary letter or full report within the timeframe noted for your pathway. If you'd like ongoing support managing ADHD day to day, we also offer adult ADHD support — we can talk through what might help.
Can I claim any of this on Medicare?
ADHD assessments themselves aren't eligible for Medicare rebates. Any separate, ongoing therapy sessions may be rebatable with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP — we're happy to explain how that works.
